Castello’s version of this Norman staple is a deliciously faithful interpretation of the style. Moist, decadently creamy, with a faintly sour, delicately earthy body, and a light, bloomy rind. Packaged as a miniature wheel in a 125 gram cup, this Camembert is the perfect size for the centrepiece of a cheese tray, to pack in a picnic basket, or to enjoy at home—warmed and served on a crusty bread, with dark fruit jam, honey, or a hot pepper jelly.
This cheese, like most Camembert, goes wonderfully with figs or dates, walnuts, apples, and pears.
