While the descriptor “triple-crème” has become something of a household term, many people are not actually familiar with the specifics of what differentiates “triple” from “double-crème” cheese. As the name suggests: triple-crème cheeses are made with a more generous measure of cream than others—resulting in a higher overall butterfat content, and therefore not only a flavour which tastes more “creamy”, but also in a denser consistency. This Triple Cream Brie, made in Canada, is essentially a more decadent version of a regular Canadian Brie; soft and buttery, with a full-bodied, fatty mouthfeel and a smooth, slightly sweet flavour, accented by subtle natural tones of vanilla and button mushrooms.
