Our Maple Smoked Cheddar is a delicious, distinctly Canadian take on a staple Smoked Cheddar. Aged for two years: this cheese is slightly sharp, with a pleasantly crumbly, dry mouthfeel and a savoury, slightly sweet body. The addition of a Maple-smoke flavour elevates this already well-rounded, full-bodied cheese—a toothsome, bold woody flavour with just enough sweetness to draw out the natural character of the cheddar. Serve with savoury crepes, melted in a grilled cheese with maple smoked bacon and maple jam, with asparagus or broccoli in a frittata, or alongside rhubarb crisp.
This cheddar pairs well with apples, blueberries, and milk chocolate—or left to speak for itself, on simple crackers or with bread.
